MOONSPELL AND CRADLE OF FILTH SHOW

COLISEU DO PORTO – 2005.03.26

Me and my sister waiting for Moonspell to come! Posted by Hello

And so Moonspell did show up, a bit earlier than I thought it would be! \../ This one lightened up in the photo is Ricardo Amorim, a great guy! Posted by Hello

It was a great show! Posted by Hello

From left to right, Fernando Ribeiro, Aires and Ricardo Amorim. On the drums Mike Gaspar (but sadly can't be seen here...) and on the keys, samplers and guitars Pedro Paixão (who can't also be seen on this photo...). Posted by Hello

Fernando Ribeiro Posted by Hello

He sings... Posted by Hello

Fernando goes and drums a bit with Mike, who can be seen with many (really, MANY) imagination behind that drum kit! Posted by Hello

And for the encore they prepared us a little surprise! Our flag came down and we started listening to... ALMA MATER! It was great! Posted by Hello

At the end they all came to the front of the backstage to thank the audience and so I finally managed to photograph Pedro Paixão (the one on the left) and Mike Gaspar (the one on the right). That hand you see on the right is from a friend of mine named Cátia! I thought her hand would spoil my photo, but thank god it didn't (at least much...)! \../ Posted by Hello

After a lotta waiting Cradle of Filth finally showed up! Here you can see Dani Filth, the singer. Posted by Hello

My sister and I snapped a photo of ourselves during the COF show. It turned out ok, altough the flash made us look white as snow! Lol! In fact in the background you can see the stage and COF performing! \../ Posted by Hello

This is James McIlroy, the guitarist. He's a great performer and interacted a lot with the audience. I tried damn hard to snap a photo while he was poking his tongue out for the photos... but as I was kinda far away from the stage he couldn't see my camera and wouldn't stay with his tongue out for long enough for me to take the bloody photo... :( Posted by Hello

This was one of the gigantic appearences on stage... For a start they had gargoyles on stage, but I couldn't photograph them as it was damn dark... then another gigantic monster showed up, but the problem was the same... and then finally this gigantic monster showed up and thank god the light was a bit better and I managed to snap this multi-shot photo! \../ Posted by Hello

At the last music they had a couple of dancers (a girl and a guy) with a thing on their tummies that made this effect! Damn cool. Sadly they didn't come back for an encore and they didn't say goodbye to the audience... Posted by Hello

After the show ended we (me, my sister and a friend) decided to go and try to meet the bands. So we went by car to the "vip" door way on the back of Coliseu. After half an hour or something and a lotta shouting asking for them to come and meet us finally this great guy showed up. He's James McIlroy from Cradle of Filth! I managed to get an autograph from him on my ticket to the show and he allowed me to snap a photo of him! :) Posted by Hello

Here's his autograph on my ticket! \../ Posted by Hello

After another quite long wait the COF's leader, Dani Filth showed up and while he autographed our stuff he allowed me to snap this photo! Posted by Hello

Here's his signature on the back of my ticket! \../ Posted by Hello

And then I had this ideia of photographing me with him. So I asked my sister to photograph us and here's the result! \../ Posted by Hello

After another long wait we finally met Moonspell, got some autographs and snapped a photo. Here we are (me, Cátia, Andreia and my sister Bebli with José Luís Peixoto - on my side, he's actually not part of the band, he's a writer and wrote a book based on the newest Moonspell's album - and next to Peixoto, Ricardo Amorim. They were both great but were in a bit of a hurry, because, as Ricardo Amorim said "he had been long on tour and wanted to get back to Lisbon soon to enjoy the night with his girlfriend"! lol! He's right... so we "let" them go... and.... Posted by Hello

... Fernando Ribeiro showed up... so we did the same... some autographs, a bit of a talk and some photos. There we are looking happy as hell with him. From left to right, Andreia, me, Fernando, Cátia, Bebli and a ucranian fan! Posted by Hello

And then came Aires, the argentinian... He was so cute and his accent was damn funny. He signed us some autographs and did some shots with us. From left to right, me, Bebli, Aires, Cátia and Andreia. On the back you can see an Andreia's friend who was damn kind and funny! Posted by Hello

Cátia wanted another photo with Mike! The photo came out so great I couldn't resist to show you all, altough I'm not on the photo! Just look at Mike! How cool is he, uh?! \../ Posted by Hello

At the end we decided to take a photo of us all! Our "photographer" is the guy on the right with the Cradle of Filth's shirt! Thank you a lot!!! If it hadn't been you we might not have such great photos! :) Oh... we asked some Moonspell's roadie to snap us this photo and he was quite amazed as we asked him a photo of ourselves without any famous people! But hey, what's the problem! It was a photo to remind us all of the long wait! \../ Posted by Hello

And here's all the autographs I managed to get on my "The Antidote" cd! :) Sadly we never met Pedro Paixão, as he had already went to Lisbon... :( But afterall the long 2 hours on the back of Coliseu was worthy! It was one of my greatest nights ever! :) Moonspell are sooooo great! \../ Posted by Hello

I interrupt posting Palácio do Freixo just to post some photos from the great concert I went to Saturday! Posted by Hello

PALÁCIO DO FREIXO

PART VIII – STUCCO ROOM

The grand stucco on the wall... It is too big to catch in a unique detailed photo... This is the best my sister could do (she went there with my grandparents one day I could't go too, so I lent her the camera and asked her to do some shots I had done not that good or hadn't done at all due to lighting...). Posted by Hello

Just a detail from that wall... sadly it got a bit blurred... but even so I think you can see how detailed the leaves are... :) Can't you?! Posted by Hello

A fishing stucco scene! This photo was also done by my sister. I had done a shot like this one, but it came out a bit dark due to lack of lighting, so I rather show you all this one! Posted by Hello

A painting on the wall. Posted by Hello

Another painting on the wall! Posted by Hello

And the stucco ceiling! As you can see it's not everything totally repaired so far... You see that there's an orange cable to a chandelier that is still not there... Posted by Hello

PALÁCIO DO FREIXO

PART VII – GAMING ROOM

This is the cool ceiling from the Gaming Room! Posted by Hello

This a detail from the ceiling. Posted by Hello

Just another detail from the ceiling. Here you can see the snooker equipment. Posted by Hello

And here's some mega details. Here the dices. Posted by Hello

Here the cards! Posted by Hello

Here chess pieces. Posted by Hello

The domino's pieces. Posted by Hello

A cool parrot on the ceiling! Just look at the colours! :) Posted by Hello

And the window case. It's lovely, uh? :) Posted by Hello

This is the only thing painted on a really tiny room adjacent to the Gaming Room. Actually this is the only thing worth looking there… Posted by Hello

PALÁCIO DO FREIXO

PART VI – HUNTING ROOM

The first photo I did when I got to this room. Posted by Hello

Another shot of the ceiling! Posted by Hello

The wonderful ceiling. Sadly it was already dark when I shot this photo, so the image is darker as the other ones... but even so I like this one a lot! Posted by Hello

A detail from the ceiling. Posted by Hello

PALÁCIO DO FREIXO

PART V – KITCHEN

This is the kitchen, actually that thing you can see over there is the kitchen chemney! :) Posted by Hello

The kitchen tiles were all like these, but sadly I guess someone stole them while Palácio do Freixo was totally forgotten and so, now there's only some left... Posted by Hello

And these are some other kitchen tiles, they are kinda like an ending to the other ones. Posted by Hello

This is the oven. Guess no one reminded of cleaning that up... just look at the cigarrettes left overs and the hidden green bottle on the left... Posted by Hello

PALÁCIO DO FREIXO

PART IV – PAINTINGS ON THE CEILING

This room as some great paintins on the ceiling. Sadly a lot of the ceiling couldn't be repaired and so there's only a few paintings... Posted by Hello

A detail of the painting. Posted by Hello

The centre part of the ceiling. As you can see it's not everything repaired... Posted by Hello

The main piece in the centre. Posted by Hello

This painting on the ceiling seems like my town in the old times... That building you see up in the hill on the right side is Serra do Pilar, already in Gaia (the city next to us). Posted by Hello

This painting here seems like Sintra, a lovely city near Lisbon. This seems to me like Palácio da Pena... but I'm not sure if it really is... Posted by Hello

And this is the door case, which I absolutely love! Just imagine those door cases in our homes! :) Posted by Hello

PALÁCIO DO FREIXO

PART III – STUCCO CEILINGS

There are three rooms with stucco ceilings. They all are very grand but it's hard to photograph them cause in the room there's some placards with photos from the exhibition about cars... So, don't find it strange that the photos are in such weird angles. Posted by Hello

This is a detail. Posted by Hello

This is a detail from the detail! :) Posted by Hello

The centre of that stucco ceiling. Posted by Hello

Another detail (it's not centered cause I didn't want to get in my photo that damn placards...)! Posted by Hello

This is another room. Very beautiful as well. As you can see it is lacking something in the middle of that heraldic bearing... Posted by Hello

Another view from that room. Here you can see that damn placards.... :( Posted by Hello

Another missing stuff in another heraldic bearing. Posted by Hello

This is another room. This one's really cool. It has asian figures. Posted by Hello

Just look at this bird cage! Amazing, uh? Posted by Hello

The door case from one of that rooms! Once it was grand... Sadly not anymore... :( Posted by Hello

The wall was once grand also... I hope they will repair it! Posted by Hello

Once again... a once grand wall.... Posted by Hello

PALÁCIO DO FREIXO

PART II - CHAPELL

A detail from the dome... an angel on the column.... Posted by Hello

This is a close up to the dome! :) So beautiful! I loved it! :) Posted by Hello

We can actually get to the dome... which is really cool! :) And the best part of it is that those doors can be opened (well, they probably shouldn't be opened, but I wanted to photograph and no one was there, so I did it anyway!). Those fellows you see there are my grandparents! :) Posted by Hello

This was just a trial to get a great shot I saw on a pro photo of this chapell... sadly it didn't came out that good... :( Posted by Hello

The other great thing on this tiny chapell is this dome. Posted by Hello

The first thing you notice when entering the chapell is the altar (actually it has nothing more...). It's a beautiful altar, too bad the saint has no head... Posted by Hello

This is the ceiling of the room before getting to the chapell. It's just a grand ceiling, too bad the room ain't restaured yet, so it has nothing on it. Posted by Hello

PALÁCIO DO FREIXO

From now on (I mean, till I've showed you the entire building) I'll post everyday (at least I hope I get to post everyday) photos from a different part of Palácio do Freixo (Freixo's Palace). It's situated between Porto and Valbom and it is mainly closed, it only opens when there's any exhibition on. It is damn worth the visit (I was there 2 times to get to photograph and film everything!). Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do! :) Posted by Hello

PART I - HALL

Here you can see the great cealing! :) Posted by Hello

The moorish door. Posted by Hello

Another view from the door... Posted by Hello

Hell yeah! :) Think Spring! :) The nice weather has arrived! :) Altough we've had a non-rainy Winter, the temperature was damn cold and since yesterday I'm using my Summer tank tops due to the warm weather! :) Awee!! I'm happy! I love warm weather! :) Posted by Hello

Another sign of urban art around here... This lamp is actually a recurrent desing over here... it is spread all over town and I like it! :) Posted by Hello

Just ruins' marks on a wall... I love it cause it is really colourful! :) Posted by Hello

This is another store... And the window's always so damn great that this time I couldn't help myself and actually photographed it! Don't you just love those three beautiful fans? :) Posted by Hello

This is Goethe Institut, where I study german. The building is very beautiful, and on the inside the ceilings are all very interesting... Posted by Hello

I know this is just a store... But it's a really fancy and trendy shop. I've never been inside it... the door is always locked and you have to ring to get in there... the stuff sold there are all very casual-"chique". Posted by Hello

I had never saw this house's beauty... I always pass it by without looking up to this beautiful balcony... In this same house is located that "Salão Nova Vaga" hairdresser. Posted by Hello

I had never saw this house's beauty... I always pass it by without looking up to this beautiful balcony... In this same house is located that "Salão Nova Vaga" hairdresser. Posted by Hello

The house next to the other one is also beautiful! :) Posted by Hello

The same house, but this time the 1st floor. Sadly it clashes with the building next to it (as you can see... that modern building looking like a box with many windows...). Posted by Hello

There are a few houses in Avenida da Boavista that are very beautiful. I enjoyed this detail above the door... Posted by Hello

This is and ad to a hairdresser... it looks to me like a old-fashioned hairdresser... but I always loved this ad and last time I went by I photographed it... that's too bad it's already so worn out... but I enjoy it even though... Posted by Hello
Aweee!!! :) :) So I can finally post again!! Thank God!! I couldn't stand anymore not being able to open any window blog-related!!
That's why for this last week I haven't visited any of your blogs and haven't answered your comments on mine... But now I've answered all the comments left unanswered and I hope I can still today visit all of your blogs...
But sadly I can't post anything right now cause (as always) I'm late to Uni... :S
Hopefully I'll be able to post when I come home, but if not, at least tomorrow (as it is my day off) I'll post! ;) And I do have a lot to post...

This was an afternoon I went to meet some friends at the bar in Praia dos Ingleses (Englishmen Beach)... and the beach was like this. Posted by Hello

Such a relaxing view... Posted by Hello

The water after hitting the rocks... Posted by Hello

 Posted by Hello

The sea hits the rocks with its power and the sound is sooooooo calming! Posted by Hello

The sun was setting and so the day was getting darker... and I enjoyed it! It was fabulous to see the light going away.... Posted by Hello

The sea was uneased... it was beatiful to see... Posted by Hello

This was chilly day... but yet I felt good strolling around Avenida Brasil (Brasil Avenue) with my grandparents... Posted by Hello

Saturday, March 05, 2005

Last Sunday I went for a walk with my grandad and I did some shots I was dying to, but couldn't since it was impossible to do them while driving... The ones portraited here are just about Casa da Música (Music House), a building causing a lot of trouble and talking here, since it is so very modern comparing to the place where it's built... Anyway, I think it should be in another place, but I like the architecture of the building... but sadly I've no ideia who was the architecht...

So I went to Rotunda da Boavista, whose real name is Praça Mouzinho de Albuquerque, who (as you can - or not - read in this shot) a Mozambique's governor. This is where "the box" (as we sometimes call to that building) is. Posted by Hello

And this is a self-portait to prove that I was actually there! :) Posted by Hello

This is just a closer shot to show you all a very cool detail... As you can see here, the windows are in a wave shhape... I had no ideia that glass could be used like this in windows... But it's great! Ain't it? Posted by Hello

This is the other side of it. It's a very strange building... Posted by Hello

That's just another shot of it... Sadly those ladies decided to stay there.... Posted by Hello

And this was made last Sunday, while I went for a walk with mygrandad (we both need to exercise). As you can see it's much more ready than a month ago. Posted by Hello

This was another shot I made while driving... well I was stopped in the Red Light, as you can see, so I'm not that suicidal! Posted by Hello

This one was shot maybe a month ago, and as you can see it was still under heavy construction. Posted by Hello

Just a quick post before I got to bed... This was the sky today... this effect just lasted a few moments, glad I was able to grab my cam and photographed it, cause it was a very beautiful sky! :) So enjoy!

Sadly I couldn't get this shot without having that stuff on the corner... Posted by Hello

The sky was damn beautiful! Posted by Hello
