PART II - VILA NOVA DE CERVEIRA, "THE NOT SO NEAR CITY"

Cerveira is another near city, it's not that near but yet we went there two times. sadly I haven't had the chance to photograph evereything I wanted there.


This is a fountain that as my friend's mom said has a legend behind it. That big suspended rock was meant to judge the criminals, as they were standing under it if it fell that meant they had really commited a crime, if not they could go freely, as they were considered innocents.


This just reminds me of Stonehenge and a structure near my University.


I don't really know what this statue stands for, I just thought the little fellows were hoping I'd do the same, and so I did and Ana photographed me! :)


This is on our way to the Cervo (means deer), a little chapell.


On the floor it said "Amor", which stands for LOVE in portuguese.


This is the view from the chapell. An isle you can see there is called The Love Isle as it's heart-shapped.


Can you see the heart?! I surely can! :)


The cervo is almost there!! :)


If you look closely you can see a door on the top of the mountain.


It's said a man promised to build a church there if his wife could get pregnant and she did and so he started building the church. But the wife had an abortion and so he stopped building it.


And I finally reach the Cervo!! :)


But a fire was very near and so we had to be quick so that we wouldn't be stuck there.




We got back to the city safe and sound and glad, cause the view from the Cervo was amazing! :)
