ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET, EKTOMORF AND CHILDREN OF BODOM
HARD CLUB – 2006.01.19
As always, me and my sister managed to get in the first rows! And after a quick trip to the merchandise where we both got a girlie COB tshirt from the new album the first concert began, it was One Man Army and the Undead Quartet.
This guy here is their lead singer and front man, Johan Lindstrand.
This one's Mikael Lagerblad, the lead guitar. He was standing right in front of me and at some point I noticed he was pointing at me... I was confused, not sure if it really was for me... but then my sister yelled thrilled "he was pointing at you!!" and so I was damn sure that it really was for me! LOL But I did nothing (not even smiled)...
This one is their bassplayer and backing vocals. He was pretty hot on stage and had a pleasant voice! Oh, and by the way, he's Robert Axelsson.
And so I felt compelled to photograph the two good looking guys that were standing in front of me! LOL
Another music later, Mikael wasn't ready to quit, so this time he did a strange move with his eyes directly to me... I smiled! I had to! LOL
And then, as their concert got to an end the front man asked the audience if we wanted something to drink, as we all said yes he poured some beer into a cup and sent to the audience. I confess I feared he would throw the beer at us but no, he was really kind and gave it hand in hand. And then, their stagetech Niko poured some more beer into another cup and Robert gave us! :)
Well, then their concert was over. I really enjoyed them, their music was pretty heavy!!
After a while Ektomorf came and their show started! They're an hungarian metal band... I had listened to a few things before but couldn't find any similarity to what I listened in the show! LOL
I'm not sure what's his name, but this guy was so cool, he'd jump while he was playing in such a weird way, but so fucking cool! :)

And eventually the show had to end cause the crowd was waiting anxiously for COB...
While we waited...
... we spotted António Freitas peeking at the window exclusively used by bands and invited people. António Freitas is the main metal journalist in Portugal, but I used to like him much more than I do now...
And after a kinda long wait COB started!! And the mosh got harder...
I had to start the COB show with this guy, Henkka!! And why?! Because he's the main reason why we were at the show and at that exact location in the venue! LOL Yes, my sister fancies him a lot! And I have to confess he's pretty good-looking and a really sweet guy to talk to!
Here you can see the front man Alexi Laiho and Janne, my favourite "Child"!! LOL
As the mosh got harder the gig got harder as well!
This one's Roope, a bit (maybe more than a bit! LOL) older than the rest of the guys, but as funny as the others!
Well, you might notice that Henkka appears in a lotta pictures, that's mainly because I took it very serious the "job" my sister got me: photographing Henkka a lot for her! LOL

I really like this photo, cause we can see tatooes, we can see that fishie band wrist and Alexi looks like he's possessed by some evil demon!! LOL

Jaska performs a magnificent drum solo and the entire Hard Club goes silent! Everyone is totally astonished!
He's great! I even got a bit on video... too bad I can't (or don't know how to) post videos here!
Altough we can't see the face I really like the colours of this photo! And obviously, it's Henkka again!

... or maybe not, since Alexi decides to play along! Yep, you're right, it's their little battle!! And it's freaking cool! :)
And as a special treat Alexi gives Janne a beer which he promptly drinks (he even started drinking while Alexi was still holding the beer but sadly that I couldn't get on camera...)!
Yep, this ain't a particularly good quality photo, but this one was done with my mobile, anyway... it's the only one where you can see the wild crowd! :)

Sadly the show ended and the guys came to us... this is Jaska greeting the audience. I managed to touch him!
And here's Janne greeting us all!
Alexi greets us as well... and I think I did touch him also... if it wasn't him was another of the guys (since I remember I touched Jaska and another guy...).
And so the show ended... And the roadies started to get things started to go to Spain...
Here's Dr. Rock (I guess that's how my sister told me he's known), a hot roadie, getting things ready!
After a long wait the band decided to show up. This time it was really weird, cause the 1st floor of the Hard CLub was partially closed and the opening bands were there just looking at the crowd... I just didn't get why the hell couldn't they be downstairs signing autographs and taking photos with us?!?!
COB finally showed up... here's me and Andreia (my photo partner at the concerts) with Jaska! he's such a cutie!
And me with Henkka! Such a sweet boy!
Jaska and Henkka (which can be seen in this photo... can you spot them?!) went to talk to Robert from Army.
And I took a photo with him.. but he wasn't that nice... altough he didn't do anything wrong I couldn't feel any warm... he's just not like COB, which is really weird, cause usually opening bands are so much friendly than the main one, since they usually are less known and people don't really care much about them and so, when a fan comes to them they usually get pretty excited... but not Robert... I'd say he's a bit arrogant or something... or maybe he's not that used to the interaction with the fans... I don't know...
After another long wait the Hard Club security guys (some look-a-like pittbulls guys) threw everyone out cause they wanted to close... and so my sister decided to go and try to find out where their bus were... we found it out and so we stayed there...
We waited in a freezing hell for ages and no one would come... but at least we found out where bands park while playing in Hard Club! Oh... and my car was parked right next to the Hard Club so I had to go back and pick the car up...
And yet, we waited more and more!!
But finally someone came... it was Ektomorf! And altough we weren't really sure if they all were part of the band or if some of them were roadies we got autographs from them all and did this photo... sadly Sérgio (Andreia's friend) didn't notice the photo wasn't that sharp... but that's ok... in our memory it's sharp as hell! :) I have to say the front man he's really cute! He was speaking to me so gently and listening to me complaining that he kept asking people to mosh the hell out which made me be kicked out a lot all night! LOL Big thumbs up for their sympathy! :)
And we kept waiting....
Finally Janne and Alexi came with a guy I couldn't know who he was... now I know he's Marek from Army, he's their drummer. I asked Janne to take a picture and the guy decided to pose with him so I took them this picture... and then he gently said he could take the pictures... but as I looked to him and noticed he was drunk as hell I decided to do the pictures myself! LOL Thanks anyway, Marek!! (I'm sorry that I haven't thanked you there...)
Look at me and Alexi! :) Oh... he's so petit! LOL It's really cool, cause on stage it seems like he "grows" and then... in real life he's a tiny gentle person! I really enjoyed meeting him, cause I always thought he would be a arrogant guy and he's not!
I finally managed to get a picture with my favourite one! Janne and me!! How nice, uh?! :)
But I decided to take another one cause I thought we could look better! LOL
And suddenly my sister mobile rings (and t was almost 2am!!)... and we both said "it's gota be our mum!"... Janne said "I can talk to her!" and we were like "yeah right, great joke!" but then noticed he really meant that... and so... my sister picked up my mum and then...
... Janne talked to her "Hi, it's Janne. How are you?!" LOL! Great!! Great! I'd pay to see my mum's face!
After the longest wait ever Roope finally showed up... drunk! LOL He had been drinking with some local dudes (as a roadie told me)...
And we took a picture!
But my sister thought I should open my eyes and so she said "Let's do it again, but now with your eyes open, Tété!" But Roope thought it was for him... and so he opened his eyes a lot!! LOL And my sister "Oh, not you Roope... she!!" as we were laughing and looking weird the photo looked like this! LOL
Then 2 young dudes came to Roope and asked him to get Alexi to come out of the bus... We decided that as we were already damn late to go home we could take more time there (cause it couldn't get any sooner now! LOL) and went with them!
Alexi was now wearing a cowboy hat and so I immediatly yelled "Alexi I wanna take a picture with the cowboy hat!" And I did! And also my sister and Andreia! :) And he was freezing... but we were too, so... LOL
And here's the result of the night! My ticket entirely signed by COB! Just notice... my ticket is the #1!! :)
And on the other side Army and Ektomorf's autographs!
It was a great night!! Waiting already for the next one... But when?!
